My new blog experiment

I’ve noticed a preponderance of writers complaining about having to write blogs when they should be writing books. Well, I’ve figured out a number of ways of coping with the different demands and style of blogging, as well as the doubt that afflicts all writers of books–does the blog help sell the books? Ultimately I decided to make it work for me and to do so with a good humor. The other day I looked up a blog which had a list of blogs about how to write a good blog. Most of the blogs listed were described as written by really good bloggers. Each of them, when I went to the blogs, seemed to consist of advice about how to write blogs that were about blogging — which isn’t much use to me, of course, because I actually have something to write about on my blog. Still, I decided that these blogs about blogging were probably just cashing in on the vast number of bloggers and the uncertainty about how to do it. I’m sure they get tons of hits and probably make a few bucks in ads. So I decided to do something similar, while also having some fun. You’ll start seeing some things on my blog which aren’t quite what they seem… Of course they’ll be mixed in with some of my regular stuff, so it’ll be up to you to figure out where I’m experimenting and where I’m doing what I’ve always done… A clue: the next post, which is about Clive Owen, is one of my experiments.
